Micah - "Tired of Skeletons"
They're dying outside,
but we're all stuck in here:
something that we hide,
but everyone's so near.
The circle, the middle,
is the safest place to be.
We've been here so long
watching from the inside:
long enough to see
we separate our lives,
and there's so much needed
in this world of emptiness.
Are you tired of fighting
and finding there's nothing there to gain?
Are you tired of waiting
for something that never comes,
'cause there's no happiness in the pain.
I'm tired of all these dead ends.
I'm tired of hiding from them.
I'm tired of skeletons!
They're running; we're ducking.
We're locking all our doors:
forgotten the reasons
of what we're fighting for,
so we stay in our own world,
and we throw away the key.
Are you tired of fighting
and finding there's nothing there to gain?
Are you tired of waiting
for something that never comes,
'cause there's no happiness in the pain.
I'm tired of all these dead ends.
I'm tired of hiding from them.
I'm tired of skeletons!
I know how fragile life is.
I have heard enough.
No more selfish complaining;
the words just don't add up.
Are you tired of fighting
and finding there's nothing there to gain?
Are you tired of waiting
for something that never comes,
'cause there's no happiness in the pain.
I'm tired of all these dead ends.
I'm tired of hiding from them.
I'm tired of skeletons!
