Call To Die

Then [Jesus] said to them all, "If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of Me will save it. (Luke 9:23-24, HCSB)

Pray for Rain

Gene Bridges over at Triablogue has requested that we offer up prayers for rain for the southeastern United States. Please consider praying in this regard in your daily prayers as well as asking your congregation to pray for rain for this area during Sunday worship and Wednesday night prayer meetings.

Still raining. Maybe we should start praying for the fires to go out in California.

-Certainly!

re: "Still raining."

-As Atlanta only had 90 days of water left as of a little over a week ago, y'all probably still could use some more, bro.

I was proving the effectiveness of people's prayers. Noting the speed and general bulk of response that has come from them.

So. . .keep praying people! Lake Lanier is basically knee high, if not lower. I only wished to spur equal prayer for our brothers and sisters dealing with the wild fires.

Imagine, God shrinking back the flames on national television. Cinematically astonishing. So, yes, lots of prayer, lots and lots.
