Call To Die

Then [Jesus] said to them all, "If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of Me will save it. (Luke 9:23-24, HCSB)

The Dawkins Delusion

For those reading this who may not know, certain members of the atheist community have become increasingly outspoken about their beliefs, attempting to persuade others with the "good news" that there is no god or eternal meaning to individual human existence. At the forefront of this "evangelical atheism" is Oxford professor Richard Dawkins, author of The God Delusion. For those who may be unfamiliar with this book, I highly recommend that you read Dr. Al Mohler's review of it. It is my concern that Christians will be hearing more and more atheistic arguments like that of Dawkins, and we must be ready to give a biblical defense for our faith in Jesus Christ that will specifically respond to these arguments.

On a lighter note (and this is my real reason for posting today), I've encountered a satire of Dawkins' arguments that is the most excellent spoof I've ever heard. In a manner and tone identical to Dawkins, a supposed expert uses Dawkins' exact arguments against God to prove that Richard Dawkins himself doesn't exist. [Hear the spoof HERE.]

As a bonus, check out the following "debate" between Richard Dawkins and Stephen Colbert: HERE and HERE.
